Hope at the Lake Foundation
Local People Supporting Local Charities
Mission Statement
Hope at the Lake is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization committed to improving the lives of our Lake Norman neighbors in need. Our mission is to facilitate a “community of caring” by connecting compassionate donors with immediate community need.
Hope at the Lake provided a grant that would fund our
transportation program for an entire year. This program supports low-cost
repairs for clients who rely on their vehicle to be able to keep
employment, especially given that our clients are not in a metropolitan
area where public transportation could be an option.

The Christian Mission
Hope at the Lake provided a grant to help fund The
Christian Mission’s Rent & Utility Assistance Program, which prevented *481
evictions* in 2023 and saved taxpayers an estimated $17 million in
homelessness support/services cost.
The Christian Mission
Of the 5,000-plus neighbors in need FeedNC serves, 1,500
are children. We are incredibly grateful for Hope at the Lake’s financial
support in addressing and helping alleviate hunger for the youngest
community members in the Lake Norman area. By supporting our Grassroots
Grocery program, Hope at the Lake provides grocery assistance to families
who are struggling financially, and helps assure that families have the
nourishment they need to prevent food-related illnesses and other
challenges that disproportionately affect individuals and children living
in poverty.
