Hope of Mooresville (HOMe)

Hope of Mooresville provides temporary, safe shelter and support services to Mooresvilles' homeless women and children. Since opening their first home in 2017, HATL grant funding has helped keep children in their local schools and mothers close to their jobs allowing families to pursue stability without uprooting their lives. HOMe’s comprehensive programming connects guests with essential community resources including food, healthcare, and legal aid while also teaching practical skills such as budgeting and saving. Women receive parenting classes, participate in support groups, and have access to counseling for both themselves and their children.

When Hope of Mooresville pursued their dream of opening a second home, HATL was honored to again step alongside them in 2024 to provide a grant that made it possible to rebuild and fully furnish the residence. Today, we are proud to celebrate that Hope of Mooresville has provided more than 10,000 nights of safe shelter to over 100 women and children, restoring dignity and stability to these courageous women of our community.
