In a world where child abuse and neglect remain heartbreaking realities, HATL is committed to supporting organizations that work tirelessly to protect children and strengthen families. Since 2015, HATL has partnered with Pharos Parenting providing funding to break the cycle of abuse and fostering healthier, more resilient families in Iredell County.

 

Our grants have helped sustain Pharos’s hands-on, 12-month Parent Aide program, equipping parents with positive parenting skills, targeted educational support, and in-home coaching to ensure at-risk children experience the safety and stability they deserve. In 2024 alone, Pharos connected 82 families with Parent Aides and completed 1,267 in-home visits, achieving an impressive 90% success rate. In 2025 they expanded their services by introducing bilingual Parent Aide hours to meet the growing needs of diverse families across the community.
