What an unforgettable day on the course! Thanks to the incredible generosity of our sponsors, golfers, volunteers, and supporters, the 2026 Race City Marine Scramble for Hope was a tremendous success, raising an incredible $50,000 to benefit Richard's Coffee Shop and FeedNC—two outstanding local nonprofits dedicated to serving our community.

They were joined by an outstanding group of supporters including JHS Outdoor Living, Flex Real Estate, Craft Body Scan, Accurate Financial, Bent Wrench Golf Carts, Brawley Market, Tindall and Alerus.

​Two extraordinary organizations: Welcome Home Veterans (Richard's Coffee Shop) and FeedNC benefitted from this years event. Welcome Home Veterans brought more than 20 distinguished veterans to participate in the day's activities, joining golfers for breakfast and a pre-round meet-and-greet. Their presence created a meaningful and personal connection that resonated with everyone in attendance.

 

FeedNC also played an important role by bringing their food truck and creating a mock Veteran Farmers Market—an innovative program designed to support local veterans—which provided

participants with a firsthand look at the impact of their work.

One of the most memorable moments of the day was the opening ceremony. 

Active-duty military personnel and veterans were invited onto the driving range

pro tee as the South Iredell High School Junior ROTC Color Guard marched in

to present the colors. The ceremony was followed by a moving rendition of the

national anthem, setting a patriotic and emotional tone that carried throughout

the day.

The weather provided the perfect backdrop for a fantastic day of golf

and fellowship. A crowd favorite also returned as "Fast Eddie," three-time

World Long Drive Champion, once again amazed participants by launching

drives across the lake onto the 18th green.

​

The course remained energized throughout the day with a variety of

contests and activities, including putting competitions, closest-to-the-pin challenges, and exciting hole-in-one opportunities, ensuring that participants remained engaged while supporting a worthy cause.

Overall, the 2026 Race City Marine Scramble for Hope was a tremendous success—made possible by the generosity of our sponsors, the engagement of our community, and a shared commitment to making a lasting difference.
