HATL’s partnership with FeedNC has played a vital role in tackling food insecurity, connecting individuals and families not only with food, but also with education and essential resources to help break the cycle of poverty and hunger. HATL has actively supported FeedNC’s supplemental Grass Roots Grocery program which provides struggling families with groceries and essential toiletries. This program creates a crucial safety net while advancing FeedNC’s broader mission of building healthy, stable families. In 2024 alone, FeedNC proudly served more than 50,000 meals to the community!

 

FeedNC also recognizes that for many children, school is more than a place to learn; it is also where they receive much needed nutritious meals each day. To address the gap during summer months, FeedNC launched its Food Truck Summer Program in 2024. HATL proudly provided critical grant monies to support this program. Today, the program’s impact continues to grow and in the summer of 2025, FeedNC successfully served 862 food truck meals to at-risk youth in the community! HATL is honored to continue their partnership with FeedNC creating lasting, meaningful change and proving what’s possible when a community comes together.
